IRIB Tamasha (شبکه‌ی تماشا) ,  also known as the View channel , has held the status of a national television channel in Iran. Its initial launch took place on February 13, 2013, and during its existence, it predominantly re-broadcasted various TV series that had previously aired on IRIB. However, on December 17, 2014, the channel ceased its operations and was merged into Namayesh.

Subsequently, following the provincial re-establishment of IRIB TV5 on August 10, 2016, Tamasha underwent a revival and took the place of the previously launched Tehran TV.

Nasim Tv  is one of the more recent additions to Iran’s broadcasting landscape. It had its initial trial run on September 17, 2013, exclusively in Tehran. It was officially established on May 7, 2014, and commenced nationwide broadcasting on December 24, 2014. The channel offers round-the-clock Free To Air programming, primarily featuring entertaining content and fun-filled programs.

In Persian, the channel’s name is represented as an acronym, which translates to “نشاط سرگرمی یادگاری مسابقه” (lit. Fun Entertainment Memories Challenges), reflecting its commitment to providing enjoyable and memorable entertainment experiences.

IRIB Varzesh (شبکه ورزش), also known as the Sports channel , is a nationally recognized sports television channel in Iran. It made its debut on July 18, 2012, marking it as the fifth Iranian TV channel to embrace digital broadcasting and the second to offer content in High Definition quality. Viewers can access this channel through Set-top box devices and online platforms.

IRIB Varzesh primarily focuses on broadcasting various sports competitions, both domestic and international, bringing the excitement of athletic events to its audience. The channel transitioned to HD format and HEVC codec transmission via terrestrial and satellite receivers on November 29, 2020.

TV5 channel or the former Tehran Network, was born on December 5, 1374 and joined the Sima network. Tehran Sima network was the first provincial network in Iran, which started its activity in its early years by broadcasting 5 hours of programs daily for Tehran viewers.

This network was established with the aim of responding to the urban, social, cultural, religious and political needs of Tehran province, reflecting and explaining related issues and issues. Behrouz Mofid managed this network in the early years.

In the early years, the former capital network was able to bring a large audience with it by using live programs and new program production structures such as Ramadan celebration, Good night Tehran, and… and the broadcasting hours of this network reached 12 hours. Darshahr, Drastan, Tehran 20, Big Race, Salam Tehran, Ranginkaman and memorable comic series like Powerchain were among the most watched programs of this network in those years.

“Five network, your network” was the main slogan of this network, which was always repeated in its picture frame for the audience. Maybe this feature would make the Tehrani audience feel more connected to their network. A network that, in addition to filling the viewers’ free time, paid special attention to the urban issues of Tehrani citizens in various cultural, social, welfare and sports fields, etc.

TV4 network was opened on Friday 24 April 1375 (April 12, 1996) with the aim of attracting special audiences and with the slogan of Farhikhtegan network.
