Maziar (Iraj Qadri) and Parviz (Bahman Mofid) are two half-brothers who grew up under the tutelage of Afkham al-Dawla (Iran Qadri). Maziar has made an appointment with Mariam (Puri Binai); But in Qazvin, the girl’s hometown, an earthquake occurs and he is displaced, and at the same time he hears that Maziar’s plane crashed in the Caspian Sea and he was killed, and Maziar goes to Qazvin in search of Maryam and returns in despair. Maryam, without Maziar’s knowledge, goes to Afkham al-Dawlah’s house and takes charge of teaching Quran reading to several teenagers. Parviz likes a dancer (Mersed Kamiyab); But Afkham al-Dawlah introduces him to Maryam. The two get married, and Maziar sees Mariam at the wedding table. They both keep silent about their past. That same night, Jassim, the owner of the cafe, and his kids get into a fight with Parvez, and the dancer kills one of them and pretends that Parvez committed the murder. He asks Parvez to throw the body into the valley with a car and spread the word that Parvez was killed. Parviz leaves his wife. Parviz visits Maryam and asks her to keep the secret of her aliveness hidden. Maryam becomes pregnant and Afkham al-Dawlah drives her and then Maziar out of his house. Maziar takes care of Maryam and her child, and Parviz, who is suspicious of their relationship, gets involved with Maziar, and is shot by the dancer.
